Claddagh House B&B is located in North Mayo approximately 5km from Ballina, the main town of the region and a world-renowned centre for river and lake fishing.
It is also a mere 3km from the Atlantic coast at the seaside resort and surf destination of Enniscrone. This stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way features stunning, untamed landscapes, magnificent coastlines and sweeping beaches all within easy reach of Claddagh House B&B.
Ballina is the largest town in Co Mayo and is synonymous with salmon fishing. Anglers travel from all over Europe and further afield to fish in the River Moy, which flows through the town, and on nearby Lough Conn and Lough Cullen.
Ballina is proud of its long and rich history and heritage and this is particularly visible in the buildings of the town and the surrounding area. Museums, castles, churches and ruins are all there to be visited. Take the opportunity to discover more of the life and people of this town through the ages.
The significant ruins of Rosserk Friary and Moyne and Rathfran Abbeys are especially worth a visit for those interested in history and heritage.
Ballina is also a hub of commerce and leisure for the surrounding area and supports a thriving centre of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Enniscrone is a pretty seaside village which has become renowned for its world-class surfing conditions, attracting surfers from across the globe. It is now also home to several surf schools.
Other amenities associated with Enniscrone are its traditional seaweed baths and its superb golf course. Around all of this has grown a selection of high-quality cafes, restaurants and pubs creating that holiday buzz all year round.
Claddagh House B&B is accessed via the N59 national route, 5km from the centre of Ballina, Co. Mayo, in the direction of Sligo. It is the last house on the left, on the corner of the R297 road to Enniscrone.
Claddagh House B&B also offers its own shuttle bus to drop off/pick up guests to or from the local train and bus station and arrangements can be made should you fly into Ireland West Airport at Knock which is only 40 minutes away.
