The Claddagh House Menu

Claddagh House provides an exceptional home-cooked breakfast. Determined to offer the highest standards and to refresh her skills, Louise took part in an intensive cookery course with Ballymaloe-trained chef Marion Frawley. From this the Claddagh House B&B’s unique breakfast menu was designed.

A choice to suit all tastes

The menu offers a wide choice and one which will suit all guests. Whether you are a vegetarian, looking after your heart, in need of a quick breakfast on the go or pining for that full Irish you will not be disappointed.

Both continental and cooked breakfasts are served. You can choose from the plentiful buffet for your continental breakfast while awaiting your cooked-to-order hot breakfast.

Ballina is the largest town in Co Mayo and is synonymous with salmon fishing. Anglers travel from all over Europe and further afield to fish in the River Moy, which flows through the town, and on nearby Lough Conn and Lough Cullen.

Ballina is proud of its long and rich history and heritage and this is particularly visible in the buildings of the town and the surrounding area. Museums, castles, churches and ruins are all there to be visited. Take the opportunity to discover more of the life and people of this town through the ages.

The significant ruins of Rosserk Friary and Moyne and Rathfran Abbeys are especially worth a visit for those interested in history and heritage.

Ballina is also a hub of commerce and leisure for the surrounding area and supports a thriving centre of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.

Enniscrone is a pretty seaside village which has become renowned for its world-class surfing conditions, attracting surfers from across the globe. It is now also home to several surf schools.

Other amenities associated with Enniscrone are its traditional seaweed baths and its superb golf course. Around all of this has grown a selection of high-quality cafes, restaurants and pubs creating that holiday buzz all year round.

“Claddagh house is fabulous. From the moment we arrived, we were made feel very welcome. The house is stunning. Louise is so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is lovely. They even have a shuttle bus if needed. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, home cooked food. Louise has really thought of everything. Couldn’t recommend claddagh house enough.”

Best B&B Experience
I cannot say enough about our experience at Claddagh House B&B. From the moment we walked through the door to the time we left, we were treated like a combination of royalty and family! Louise and Gourlay provided a beautiful immaculate home away from home for us, assisted with dinner reservations, transportation plans, amazing breakfast (best brown bread ever!), and were such good company we didn’t want to leave. The house and rooms are beautifully appointed and the location between Ballina town and Enniscrone Beach is perfect. You just cannot go wrong staying at the Claddagh House. We cannot wait to return in 2020.
